Do you still compare SMM panels before placing an order?

There are so many panels available now that choosing one can be confusing. I normally test a few services with small orders first. If the quality is good and the delivery is stable, then I use the panel for bigger orders. How do you guys choose a new panel? Do you test the services first or go by reviews and recommendations?
